I'm very happy to introduce you a new, lovely, IDA Lifestyle project: the "Sweet dreams" pillowcase!

Lovely teapot for Maggie

A few months ago I've designed this teapot for Maggie, an italian customer that was looking for something nice to display in her kitchen.
I've start making some sketches on my inspirations book and then I've used the specific colors for ceramic to decorate the teapot. And that's the result! And the mug was my gift for the sweet Maggie.

Pochi mesi fa ho progettato questo teiera per Maggie, una cliente italiana che era alla ricerca di qualcosa di bello e simpatico da mettere in mostra nella sua cucina.
Ho iniziare a fare qualche schizzo sul mio libro delle ispirazioni e poi ho usato i colori specifici per la ceramica per decorare la teiera. E questo è il risultato! E la tazza è stata il mio regalo per la dolce Maggie.

A vintage touch

Yesterday, at the end of the post, I've told you that we went to Amsterdam to visit a couple of stores that I saw in Ingrid's blog. I love this kind of places and when I've read about them, I immediately thought that it would have been cool go to Amsterdam and make some shopping! That's why I enjoy so much Ingrid's blog. You know, when you move to another country is not so easy find places that are not "famous", especially when you don't have so many friends that have the same interests. For this reason, when I read in some dutch blogs about interesting shops or second hand stores I write immediately in my agenda the address and the web site! Is a kind of "wish list". Anyway, we went to Neef Louis and Van Dijk & Ko. Neef Louis has a beautiful vintage collection: chairs, lamps, coffee tables, most of them from very famous brands. In Van Dijk & Ko you can find old furnitures from Hungary, Romania and Belgium..everything is beautiful and the choise is really difficoult. My first idea was to find a "commode" for our bedroom, but unfortunatelly our rented car was to small..So, we bought a very nice bench for our entry. I love it! What do you think, is not lovely? And also a pink lamp for my studio..the vintage touch that I was looking for!

Ieri, alla fine del post, ho scritto che siamo andati ad Amsterdam per visitare un paio di negozi che ho visto nel blog di Ingrid. Adoro questo genere di posti e quando ho letto il post al riguardo ho subito pensato che sarebbe stato bello andare ad Amsterdam e fare shopping! Ecco perché mi piace così tanto il blog di Ingrid. Quando ci si trasferisce in un altro Paese non è così facile trovare luoghi che non sono "famosi", soprattutto quando non si hanno tanti amici che hanno gli stessi tuoi interessi. Per questo, quando leggo in alcuni blog olandesi di negozi interessanti o negozi di seconda mano, me li scrivo subito nella mia agenda con l'indirizzo e il sito! È una sorta di "lista dei desideri". Comunque, siamo andati da Neef Louis e Van Dijk & Ko. Neef Louis ha una bellissima collezione di pezzi vintage: sedie, lampade, tavolini, la maggior parte di marchi molto famosi. Da Van Dijk & Ko. si possono trovare mobili antichi che provengono da Ungheria, Romania e Belgio... anche qui tutto è bellissimo e la scelta è davvero difficilissima. La mia prima idea era quella di trovare un comò per la nostra camera da letto, ma sfortunatamente la nostra auto a noleggio era troppo piccola..Così, abbiamo comprato una panca molto carina per il nostro ingresso. Mi piace un sacco! E voi cosa ne dite, non è bella? E anche una lampada rosa per il mio studio..il tocco vintage che stavo cercando!

Today is a big day for me and for IDA Interior LifeStyle.
Finally, after a few months of thinking, today I've opened my own Etsy shop!
At the moment the store has 13 items, but I've decided to adopt a very personal "politic". As you can read on my Esty welcome "...all the items that you see at this shop are examples. If you decide to buy something, I will create a unique new item piece for you with similar colors and same size. This is to offer you the opportunity to have a uniquely designed and customized object".
I choose this way because I would like to make something special for every customer, and in the other hand I can't make items and collected them here in my apartment! 


So, here I am! Ready for all your requests! And don't forget to leave a comment about the shop, I NEED your feedback to improve myself!




Oggi è un grande giorno per me e per IDA Interior LifeStyle.
Finalmente, dopo alcuni mesi di riflessione, oggi apre ufficialmente il mio negozio Etsy!
Al momento il negozio espone 13 prodotti, ma ho deciso di adottare una "politica" molto personale. Come si può leggere nel mio Esty welcome "...tutti gli oggetti che vedete esposti qui sono esempi. Se deciderete di comprare qualcosa, io creerò un nuovo oggetto 
con colori simili e della stessa misura. Questo per offrire l'opportunità di avere un oggetto unico e personalizzato ".
Ho scelto questo modo perché mi piacerebbe fare qualcosa di speciale per ogni cliente, e d'altra parte non posso crearmi uno stock e tenere tutto qui a casa!
Così, eccomi qui! Pronta per tutte le vostre richieste! E non dimenticate di lasciare un commento riguardo al negozio, ho BISOGNO dei vostri suggerimenti per migliorare sempre di più!

Pink..my new blue?

No, no, don't worry, I'm still a blue fan, but in these days I re-evaluated pink.
I start making a couple of garlands and I have to admit that is really fresh and I like it! As I said I'm still a very big blue fan..I remember as was yesterday..I was 3 and all my little friends were in love for pink.."pink is the Lady's color".."oh, my God" I thought "there's something strange in me, 'cause I like blue!" and in all my drawing I was used to painted myself in blue clothes..with blond hair (because fantasy was always with me!) but in a blue dress!
Anyway I started thinking that would be nice have something pink here..maybe..yes, you're right, a cushion!! I have a couple of pink gradation, and I decided to mix them with grey and my lovely white (I LOVE white in crochet items!). And since I finally learned how to join togheter the small pieces, some friends asked me a tutorial by images..I'm quite scared about it, I don't know if I'm good enough. By this way, I decided to use this new project for the tutorial that will be in italian only (I'm not able with the other code, sorry) but also by using images.

No, no, non vi preoccupate, rimango una grande fan del blu, ma in questi giorni ho rivalutato il rosa.
Ho iniziare a fare un paio di ghirlande in questo colore e devo ammettere che è veramente fresco e mi piace! Come ho detto sono ancora una grande fan del blu..mi ricordo come fosse ieri..avevo circa 3 anni e tutte le mie amichette dell'asilo erano innamorate del rosa.."il rosa è il colore delle femmine" e io pensavo "oh, mio Dio, c'è qualcosa di strano in me, a me piace l'azzurro!" e in tutti i miei disegni ero solita disegnarmi in abiti azzurri.. con i capelli biondi (perché la fantasia non mi e' mai mancata!), ma in abiti azzurri!
Comunque ho iniziato a pensare che sarebbe bello avere qualcosa di rosa..mmm..forse.. sì, giusto, un cuscino! Ho un paio di gomitoli in due gradazioni di rosa, e ho deciso di unirle ad un bel grigio chiaro e al bianco (io AMO il bianco nei lavori all'uncinetto!). E da quando ho finalmente imparato a unire insieme le piastrelline direttamente sul lavoro, alcune amiche mi hanno chiesto un tutorial per immagini..sono abbastanza intimorita, non so se sono abbastanza brava. In ogni caso, ho deciso di utilizzare questo nuovo progetto per il tutorial che sarà solo in italiano (non so usare il codice inglese), ma anche utilizzando le immagini.

A day in Utrecht

I'm litteraly in love for Utrecht!!
I spent all day with my grandma around the city. After a short visit to Eindhoven fabrics market, we took the train and in 50 minuts we arrived in Utrecht. The weather was really good, a nice temperature after inusual warm days. I don't have a sense of direction but in some way we found the train station exit (the train station is HUGE!) and in 10 minuts we arrived in the city center, ready to eat a good sandwich and a "ristretto" coffee at Coffee Company.
We visited a lot of nice shops, but my favourites are "Prod's and primes" (http://www.prodsandprimes.nl/index1.html) and once again "Waar" (I already mentioned this shop in the post about Amsterdam). In P'n P I found a gorgeous rug for my kitchen that I'm sure it will be an obsession from my italian friends (I know that a lot of them are looking for something similar in Italy). The rug is from House Doctor (http://www.housedoctor.dk/Pages/dan/Forside.aspx) a very nice danish brand..I saw the web site and I love it!!
Anyway, the city is really gorgeous, the curch, the channels, the big squares..I'm so happy about this day, that now I would like to move to Utrecht!!

Sono letteralmente innamorata di Utrecht!
Ho passato tutto il giorno con mia nonna in giro per la città. Dopo una breve visita al mercato dei tessuti di Eindhoven, abbiamo preso il treno e in 50 minuti siamo arrivate a Utrecht. Il tempo è stato veramente bello, una temperatura piacevole dopo inusuali giorni caldi. Non ho un grande senso dell'orientamento, ma in qualche modo abbiamo trovato l'uscita della stazione ferroviaria (la stazione ferroviaria di Utrecht è ENORME!) e in 10 minuti siamo arrivate nel centro della città, pronte a mangiare un buon panino e un caffe' "ristretto" a Coffee Company.
Abbiamo visitato un sacco di bei negozi, ma i miei preferiti sono "Prod's and primes" (http://www.prodsandprimes.nl/index1.html) e ancora una volta "Waar" (ho già parlato di questo negozio nel post su Amsterdam). Da P'n P ho trovato un tappeto meraviglioso per la mia cucina, che sono sicura sarà l'invidia delle mie amiche italiane (so che molte di loro sono alla ricerca di qualcosa di simile in Italia). Il tappeto è di "House Doctor" (http://www.housedoctor.dk/Pages/dan/Forside.aspx) un marchio danese..ho visto il sito e mi piace moltissimo!
In ogni caso, la città è davvero splendida, la chiesa, i canali, le piazze così grandi piene di baretti...sono così felice di questo giorno, che ora vorrei trasferirmi a Utrecht!

One of the thing that I love about Amsterdam is the fact that every time that you go, you can find new amazing shops.
That's happened yesterday. I was in Amsterdam with my husband, my brother and his girlfriend and I found a couple of very nice stores. I want to share with you some pictures that I made and some info about them.

Una delle cose che amo di Amsterdam è il fatto che ogni volta che si va, si possono trovare nuovi negozi davvero incredibili.
Questo è quello che e' accaduto ieri. Sono stata ad Amsterdam con mio marito, mio fratello e la sua ragazza (che erano qui a trovarci) e ho trovato un paio di negozi molto carini. Voglio condividere alcune foto che ho fatto e alcune informazioni su questi negozi.

A book from UK

I like the World Wide Web, is full of inspirations and sometimes when you are looking for something the answers arrive unexpectedly from a blog or from a website. That's what happened to me a couple of weeks ago. As soon as possible I would like to open my own Etsy shop, but I have no ideas about how, when and so on. I was reading on of my favourite blog, " The Yvestown Blog" (http://www.yvestown.com/) and I was hit on on a post that she wrote (http://www.yvestown.com/archive/2010/05/an-excellent-book-year.html). I found "my answer"!! The book "The Handmade Marketplace" by Kari Chapin, a book for people that want to start an online shop (as me!). In a couple of minuts I found the book on Amazon.uk and I ordered it!
After 8 days is arrived and now I'm looking forward to to read it!

 Mi piace il World Wide Web, è pieno di ispirazioni e talvolta, quando si è alla ricerca di qualcosa le risposte arrivano inaspettatamente da un blog o da un sito web. Questo è quello che è successo a me un paio di settimane fa. Appena possibile vorrei aprire la mia pagina Etsy, ma non ho idee su come, quando e così via. Stavo leggendo uno dei miei blog preferiti, " The Yvestown Blog" (http://www.yvestown.com/) e sono rimasta colpita da un post (http://www.yvestown.com/archive/2010/05/an-excellent-book-year.html). Ho trovato "la mia risposta"! Il libro "The Handmade Marketplace" di Kari Chapin, un libro per chi vuole iniziare un negozio online (come me!). In un paio di minuti ho trovato il libro su Amazon.uk e l'ho ordinato!
 Dopo 8 giorni è arrivato e ora non vedo l'ora di leggerlo!
