My grandma, probably cause of her name, Rosa (rose), is a flowers lovers. In Italy she has a beautiful garden where she spends a lot of time taking care of plants and flowers. So when I moved to NL a couple of years ago the first thing that she told me was "Oh, lucky you, is the Flowers Land"! My grandma is a kind of person that travelled a lot, so she's been here in The Netherland a couple of times but she was never here in the right period to see the tulips fields. Anyway she's funny that for her The Netherland is the "Flowers Land"!
So, a month ago she called me and asked if she could come here for a few days. Of course we said yes, we like to be in good company, and she's very funny and full of enthusiasm (I can't say her age, but she's more than 75!). She spent here all the last week and finally we went with her to see the tulips fields. But we did a lot of things together, I spent some quality time my grandma doing all the kind of things that we like. She teached me how to sew a skirt (for all her life she worked as a dressmaker), we visited second hand shops and the day that we went to see the tulips we went to Amsterdam to visit a couple of stores that I saw here in Ingrid's blog (she's my "guru" for this kind of places!). And tomorrow I'll show you the purchases!

Mia nonna, probabilmente a causa del suo nome, Rosa, è un amante dei fiori. In Italia ha un bel giardino dove trascorre molto tempo a prendersi cura di piante e fiori. Così, quando mi sono trasferita in Olanda un paio di anni fa, la prima cosa che mi disse fu: "Oh, beata te, è la terra di fiori! " Mia nonna è un tipo di persona che viaggia molto, è stata qui in Olanda un paio di volte ma mai nel periodo giusto per vedere i campi di tulipani fioriti. Comunque è divertente che per lei i Paesi Bassi siano la "terra di fiori"!
Così, un mese fa mi ha chiamato e ha chiesto se poteva venire qui per qualche giorno. Naturalmente abbiamo detto di sì, ci piace essere in buona compagnia, e lei è molto divertente e piena di entusiasmo (non posso dire la sua età, ma ha più di 75 anni!). Ha trascorso qui tutta la scorsa settimana e finalmente siamo andati con lei a vedere i campi di tulipani. Ma abbiamo fatto un sacco di cose insieme, ho passato un po 'di tempo mia nonna facendo tutto il genere di cose che ci piacciono. Mi ha insegnato a cucire una gonna (per tutta la vita ha lavorato come sarta per grandi firme e lo fa ancora, ma solo per "la famiglia"), abbiamo visitato negozi di seconda mano e il giorno che siamo andati a vedere i tulipani siamo andati ad Amsterdam per visitare un paio di negozi che ho visto qui nel blog di Ingrid (lei è la mia "guru" per questo tipo di posti!). E domani vi farò vedere gli acquisti!
