Welcome LouLou!

Hi everyone, finally I'm back!! How are you? I've missed so much writing on my blog in these 10 days...

I've been in Berlin for my birthday (thank you again for all your comments on this post) and then in Italy for a wedding. And finally yesterday, after 12 hours driving, we're arrived! I've missed a lot my blue apartment, my crochet, my Etsy shop..but now I'm back full of energy! But I'm so happy because I've saw my family, all my friends and my lovely Kora. I've been also to Casa Facile's editorial office and I'm very proud to all the news that we're planning for the future.

In this first post I would like to introduce you a new friend, a friend that I was so lucky to win in a blog giveaway. Her name's LouLou and she's..a little white rhino! She's borned from the creativity of Marlous, the mind behind Planet Fur. About her lovely items, she says: "One of a kind felt items to cheer up any place!". And it's totally true! LouLou is really well done, the details are so tidy..she's on my studio and everytime that I look at her I can't stop smiling! But don't be envious!! You can find her lovely items on her Etsy shop. Ciao a tutti, finalmente sono tornata! Come state? Mi è mancato tanto scrivere sul mio blog in questi 10 giorni...

Sono stato a Berlino per il mio compleanno (grazie ancora per tutti i vostri commenti a questo post) e poi in Italia per un matrimonio. E finalmente ieri, dopo 12 ore di guida, siamo arrivati! Mi è mancato molto il mio appartamento blu, il mio uncinetto, il mio negozio Etsy..ma ora sono tornata piena di energia! Ma sono davvero felicissima perché ho rivisto la mia famiglia, tutti i miei amici e la mia Kora. Sono stata anche alla redazione di Casa Facile e sono molto orgogliosa di tutte le novità che stiamo progettando per il futuro.

In questo primo post vorrei presentarvi un nuovo amico, un amico che ho avuto la fortuna di vincere nel giveaway di un blog. Il suo nome è LouLou e lei è..un piccolo rinoceronte bianco! E' nata dalla creatività di Marlous, la mente che sta dietro Planet Fur. Descrivendo i suoi deliziosi oggetti, lei dice: "Oggetti di feltro per rallegrare qualsiasi posto!". Ed è assolutamente vero! LouLou è davvero ben fatta, i dettagli sono così curati..ora è nel mio studio e ogni volta che la guardo non riesco a smettere di sorridere! Ma non siate invidiosi! Flickr says it's Friday

Hello and happy Friday! You can't imagine how I'm happy today! First of all my lovely husband is came back from a work trip (5 days without him is too much!) and tomorrow we leave and we go to Berlin, to celebrate my 30th birthday!!

I'm very excited and curious, I never been there..I heard so many interesting things about it! I can't wait!

But today is also the day of my column "Flickr says it's Friday". Today the gallery is dedicated to colors..in some pictures are more intense and in some others just a touch..but I love them all!

Ciao e felice venerdì! Non potete immaginare quanto sono felice oggi! Prima di tutto il mio adoratissimo maritino è tornato da un viaggio di lavoro (5 giorni senza di lui è davvero troppo tempo!) e domani partiamo per andiamo a Berlino, per festeggiare il mio 30° compleanno!

Sono molto emozionata e curiosa, non ci sono mai stata..ho sentito dire così tante cose interessanti a riguardo! Non vedo l'ora!

Ma oggi è anche il giorno della mia rubrica "Flickr says it's Friday". Oggi la galleria è dedicata ai colori..in alcune foto sono più intensi e in alcune solo un semplice tocco..ma mi piacciono moltissimo tutte quante!

Jurianne Matter paper flowers: BLOM

Simplicity is one of my favorite "elements" and I try to apply it in every single thing: my pictures, my DIY projects, my lifestyle. The dutch designer Jurianne Matter, represents perfectly this concept. I had the opportunity to get in touch with her works several times in the past years, and a few days ago I've seen in a shop here in Eindhoven some of her products. I love flowers and I try to have always fresh flowers in my apartment and especially on my desk..I think that they inspire me! That's why I've decided to buy BLOM (bloem in dutch means flower), that consists in three A5 cards (each card contains 5 different flowers) and a 4.50 m florist wire. It's so easy to do and they're really lovely! You can decide how to arrange the flowers: you can use them simply in a vase (like I did) or as a garland or as a decoration for a party (I'm thinking that could be a lovely idea for a wedding!). She also has other cute products, like lanterns, angels and little boats. If you're curious and you would like to know more about her, she has a lovely website and a blog.

La semplicità per me è fondamentale e cerco di applicarla in ogni cosa: nelle le mie foto, nei i miei progetti DIY, nel mio stile di vita. La designer olandese Jurianne Matter, penso rappresenti perfettamente questo concetto. Ho avuto l'opportunità di entrare in contatto con i suoi lavori numerose volte negli ultimi anni, e pochi giorni fa ho visto in un negozio qui a Eindhoven alcuni dei suoi prodotti. Amo i fiori e cerco di avere sempre fiori freschi nel mio appartamento e in particolare sulla mia scrivania .. penso che mi ispirino! Ecco perché ho deciso di acquistare BLOM (bloem in olandese significa fiore), che consiste in tre cartoline A5 (ogni foglio contiene 5 fiori diversi) e un filo da fiorista da 4,50 m. Sono davvero facili da realizzare e io trovo che siano molto carini! E si può decidere liberamente come disporre i fiori: si possono usare semplicemente mettendoli in un vaso (come ho fatto io) o unirli per formare una ghirlanda oppure come decorazione per una festa (sto pensando che potrebbe essere una bella idea per un matrimonio!). Ha anche altri prodotti davvero unici come lanterne, angeli e piccole imbarcazioni. Se siete curiosi e volete sapere di più, ecco il suo sito e il suo blog.

This week on my coffee table: DOMINO

Hello everyone, happy monday! I'm really happy for many reasons; the most important is that Saturday me and my husband we'll go to Berlin to celebrate my 30th birthday! And what do you think, may I go to a new city without planning a photo shoot? Of course not! But I love my job and it's always a pleasure meet new people. And after Berlin we go to Italy and we can finally see our families and friends (and Kora, my dog!) after a couple of months.

Another reason is that since a couple of days I have a new book that I was waiting for long, here on my coffee table. Is not a new book, I think that is a 2008 edition but I read many enthusiastic reviews that I've decided to buy it.

The book is "Domino - the book of decorating" and I'm pretty sure that will become one of my favorite! Domino, was a magazine published from 2005 to 2009 by Condé Nast Publications and the book was edited by Deborah Needleman (she was the founding editor in chief), Sara Ruffin Costello and Dara Caponigro.

Organized by room, the book takes you step-by-step through each area of the home, with lovely ideas and inspirations. The sections are divided into easy to read and easy to access room-by-room descriptions. Each section has different style examples, then tips and decorating tricks and a section called "the domino effect", based on ideas of people that worked for the magazine. To be honest the style doesn't match completely to my taste for interior style (I'm more a "Decorate person"), but I think that is a really helpfull book for all the included tips and the beautiful pictures.

Ciao a tutti, buon lunedì! Sono davvero felice per diversi motivi; il più importante è che finalmente sabato io e mio marito andremo a Berlino per festeggiare il mio 30°compleanno! E cosa dite, posso andare in una città nuova senza pianificazione un photo shoot? Certo che no! Ma amo molto il mio lavoro ed è sempre un piacere incontrare nuove persone. E dopo Berlino, andremo in Italia e finalmente potremo vedere i nostri familiari e amici (e Kora, il mio cane!) dopo un paio di mesi di lontananza.

Un'altra ragione è che da un paio di giorni qui sul mio tavolino ho un nuovo libro che stavo aspettando da parecchio tempo. Non è un libro nuovo, penso che sia un edizione del 2008, ma ho letto molte recensioni entusiaste e ho deciso di comprarlo.

Il libro è "Domino - the book of decorating" e sono abbastanza sicura che diventerà uno dei miei preferiti! Il libro, curato da Deborah Needleman (il fondatore ed editore in capo), Sara Ruffin Costello e Dara Caponigro, prende il nome dalla rivista Domino, pubblicata dal 2005-2009 da Condé Nast Publications.

Organizzato per stanze, il libro guida passo-passo attraverso ogni ambiente della casa, con idee interessanti e ispirazioni di diverso genere. Le sezioni sono di facile lettura e di facile accesso con descrizioni dettagliate stanza per stanza. Ogni sezione ha esempi di stile diverso, quindi consigli e trucchi di decorazione e una sezione chiamata "the domino effect" ("effetto domino"), basata sulle idee di styling di persone che hanno lavorato per la rivista. Ad essere onesti lo stile non corrisponde completamente al mio gusto per l'interior styling (io sono più per lo stile Decorate), ma penso che sia un libro veramente utile per tutti i suggerimenti inclusi e le bellissime immagini.

Hello everyone! Finally it's friday, the weekend is almost here. Are you planning something nice? After a week of pain in my shoulder, now I'm a bit better and I have a lot of crochet to do! I'm working on a baby blanket that a Lady from Australia bought in my Etsy shop..can you imagine? I'm thrilled! Anyway these are the pictures that I've chosen from my Flickr group (btw, are you already in?). Today, vintage is the keyword, the theme of this gallery. Ciao a tutti! Finalmente è venerdì, il fine settimana è alle porte. Avete in programma qualcosa di bello? Dopo una settimana di dolore alla spalla, ora sto un po' meglio e ho un sacco di lavoro all'uncinetto da fare! Sto lavorando ad una copertina che una signora australiana ha acquistato nel mio negozio Etsy..vi immaginate? Sono entusiasta! Comunque queste sono le foto che ho scelto dal mio gruppo Flickr (a proposito, vi siete già iscritti?). Oggi, vintage è la parola chiave, il tema di questa galleria. Quindi, atmosfera vintage, tessuti vintage, carta da parati vintage .. Come al solito spero che vi piaccia la galleria e vi auguro un fine settimana divertente e sorprendente!

Vintage bedspread

If you are following this blog for long, you already know about my passion for crochet and vintage. Well, imagine for a moment to find an amazing item that can combine this two passions in one. The result may be this gorgeous bedspread that I found with my grandma during one of our flea market tours. I've been surprised and as a "crocheter" slightly offended from the silly price of this gorgeousness! I can't imagine all the work required from this Lady (I suppose that was a Lady!) to make it. But I'm happy about this little "treasure" that my grandma bought for me, I'm for sure able to appreciate this masterpiece.

Se seguite questo blog da tempo, già siete a conoscenza della mia passione per l'uncinetto e per il vintage. Beh, immaginate per un momento di trovare un oggetto meraviglioso che può unire queste due passioni in una. Il risultato potrebbe tranquillamente essere questo splendido copriletto che ho trovato con mia nonna durante una delle nostre visite al mercatino delle pulci. Sono stato sorpresa e come "uncinettara" leggermente offesa dal prezzo ridicolo di questa magnificenza! Non riesco a immaginare tutto il lavoro richiesto da questa signora (suppongo almeno che fosse una donna!) per realizzarlo. Ma sono contentissima di questo piccolo "tesoro" che mia nonna mi ha voluto regalare, mi sento sicuramente in grado di apprezzare questo capolavoro.

Hello everyone and welcome to This week on my coffee table.

This week I would like to introduce you this book, "Crafting a Meaningful Home", by Meg Mateo Ilasco (Photographs by Thayer Allyson Gowdy).

I'm always happy when I buy some new book, especially if it's a DIY book! And this one contains "27 DIY projects to tell stories, hold memories, and celebrate family heritage". The book is really well made, every project is explained in detail and at the end of the book, the appendix collect all the images that you can use to follow the instructions. The lovely thing is that the projects are realized by different designers, so they are very different among each other and in my opinion also easy to follow. I already find my favorite project: the doily rug! I just need the right rope!

Ciao a tutti e benvenuti a This week on my coffee table.

Questa settimana vorrei presentarvi questo libro, "Crafting a Meaningful Home", di Meg Mateo Ilasco (fotografie di Thayer Allyson Gowdy).

Sono sempre felice quando compro un libro nuovo, soprattutto se si tratta di un libro di fai da te! E questo contiene "27 progetti fai da te per raccontare storie, mantenere vivi i ricordi, e celebrare il patrimonio familiare ". Il libro è davvero ben fatto, ogni progetto è spiegato in dettaglio e alla fine del libro, l'appendice raccoglie tutte le immagini che è possibile utilizzare per seguire le istruzioni. La cosa bella è che i progetti sono realizzati da designer diversi, quindi sono molto diversi tra loro e, a mio parere anche facile da seguire. Ho già trovato il mio progetto preferito: il tappeto centrino! Mi serve solo la corda giusta!

Saturday morning

Hello everyone! Finally we're back to normality! Yesterday I didn't post my usual "Flickr says it's friday", but don't worry, I'll show you the gallery next tuesday. I don't know why but this morning I woke up really early, around 6.30 am..and this is not normal for me! I like to stay in bed, most of all when it's saturday! So, to stay active and waiting for my husband (that btw is still sleeping!) I've made some pictures with my iphone. And thanks to LemeLemeHD app, I've made these pics. I hope you like them! Ciao a tutti! Finalmente siamo tornati alla normalità! Ieri non ho postato il solito "Flickr says it's friday", ma non preoccupatevi, vi farò vedere la galleria martedì prossimo. Non so perchè ma stamattina mi sono svegliata molto presto, intorno a 6:30..e questo non è affatto normale per i miei canoni! Mi piace stare a letto, soprattutto quando è sabato! Quindi, per rimanere attiva e in attesa di mio marito (che tra l'altro sta ancora dormendo!) ho fatto qualche foto con il mio iPhone. E grazie alla app LemeLemeHD, ho fatto queste foto.
