I figured it's high time I got back to my Etsy store, and my first listing features a very popular vintage mirror! 


You may remember this faux bamboo mirror I found last year--well I've found a second one, and it's now for sale! I debated about freshening it up with paint, but I love the versatility it gives in its original faux-finished state. Here are 2 of my favorite images using this same mirror:

I found this amazing faux bamboo mirror at a thrift store I NEVER go to, because they NEVER have anything . . . but I guess I won't be able to say that anymore!  The faux bamboo mirror I found a few months back was nowhere near as fabulous as this one, 'cause this one's famous.  You may even remember it from LA designer Vanessa De Vargas' spread in Lonny Magazine a few months back.


 Yup, it's the same one (well, not the same one, but you know what I mean).  For now I'll be keeping it for my home, but there's a possibility it may be up for sale in the future.  If so, I'll definitely post it here.
Finding this mirror led me to search the internet for others like it, and I found a treasure trove!  Here are a few looks at some of the great faux bamboo mirrors floating around the web . . .

For some of you, no.  For the rest of you, it's none other than the Williams-Sonoma Hampstead Mirror.   Autumn got this $795 mirror for only $20!!  I know, I know--pick your jaw up off of the floor.  Yes, it's missing the mirror, but I can assure you that it's not a $775 fix, so even if it runs $100 (which it shouldn't) on top of the $20 she paid, she'll be okay.  I really wanted to hate her when she showed me this fabulous find, but she's such a great designer and party planner  that you just can't!  Want to see this mirror in action???  Look no further than Averill from Odi Et Amo, who used it in her fabulous powder room makeover.

I chose to highlight different options in patterned fabrics because I think solids are a given with a chair like this.  Almost any color would look great, but I think solids in textured fabrics would really make this stand out--think something like velvet, denim (white only, in my book), or linen. If you want to splurge, this would be pretty fabulous, too.
