Dream Home & A Giveaway!

OMG, I LOVE this house.  LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.  I don't know how many of you have seen these photos of Molly Sims' LA home, but when Linda from The Lennoxx posted these photos, I thought I was going to explode.  Really.  From pure joy and excitement.   I love this comfortable, eclectic, slightly Spanish home (the floors are Saltillo tile and the outside looks like it might be Spanish style, so yes, Spanish) with a little bit of glam.  This is so me.  Take a look . . . 










I can just see myself relaxing up here after a nice hot bath, laid across the pillows with the phone in the crook of my ear discussing the difference between Dolphin Fin grey, Tears of Joy grey, and Silvery Moonlight.  Then when I hung up, I'd ring the bell to call for my help, because it'd be time for my afternoon snack!  Ah, the life . . . .





That lamp looks kind of like mine there on the left!!!!





I LOVE this dark Saltillo tile!! I've never seen it in that color  but I think it makes an AMAZING statement.












This is just okay to me.  I mean, don't get me wrong--I'd certainly live here, but it doesn't have as much impact to me of the other spaces.  Not sure how I feel about the pink shades . . . .





These doors are the BUSINESS!























If I exercised, I would do some laps in that tub . . . .

James Radin

I decided that it didn't make much sense to spend all that time talking about the moive and the set design without giving a platform to the man that made it all happen--James Radin! If you're under a rock and don't already know, James is Nancy's personal interior designer and has worked with her on all of the movies we know and love (Something's Gotta Give, It's Complicated, Baby Boom (interiors weren't memorable, but I love the movie), The Holiday, Father of the Bride) translating the essence of her wonderful characters into memorable living spaces. Unfortunately I can't copy the images from his portfolio, but I can share some of his work from her other movies.

I love how everything always looks so beautiful, yet comfortable and realistic. That what I strive for in my home, and I'm working on it bit by bit, and figuring out what that means for me (and how to translate it into my style).

I also want to take this space to thank the person who gave all of those wonderful Elle Decor, Traditional Home, & Oprah magazines to the thrift store . It has provided hours of reading pleasure! :)
