Ergo Candles--The Best!

Do you love a good, quality candle??  If so, you have to try this one . . .

If Mango's not your thing (although I happen to love this one), there's such a wide array of scents so there's sure to be something that tickles your fancy.  These candles are 100% soy, inexpensive ($24) and just one can permeate your entire home!  They're sold at many boutiques including Market here in Atlanta.  If you're not in the A, you can also find them here.

Delaware River Trading Company, Atlanta

If I haven't mentioned it before, I have a sweet tooth. A really bad sweet tooth. It never used to be like this, but the past few years I've been all about desserts. I will search this city looking for, as my friend Beth says, a chocolate "safari in my mouth" and Friday (which is now 2 Fridays ago!) I was packed and ready to go. After a quick lunch I was headed over to Chocolate Pink to pick up a treat when I saw these lovelies.

My sweet tooth took me right to Delaware River Trading Company, a home & lifestyle boutique that's been featured in numerous national mags. I just found out about the store a few weeks ago so it's funny I would arbitrarily end up parked in front of it! Carol, Tim & Rosemary were so nice, which was quite a change from some of the other boutiques in Atlanta.  I hate to say it, but people can be a bit snobbish here in the "A", especially if you're not walking in and immediately dropping a stack of cash.  Luckily that wasn't the case here. 

There were so many beautiful items in the store, and the owner, Willis Watts is also a designer who's work has been featured in Metropolitan Home and The New York Times. Loved the studio, loved the people. Here's more.

I'm all about eye-catching mirrors, and I love the size, finish, and texture to this one.

Right next door was a chiropractor's office that had this sign in the window.

One of Atlanta's Best . . .

One of my favorite new things to do with my sister is to show her around some of my favorite spots in Atlanta.  After being in the house for days, I took her to Armour & Co in the Morningside/Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta.  I LOVE this store, and for her first trip it DID NOT disappoint!  Everything at Armour & Co is so beautiful and I'd also say it's reasonably priced, especially when compared with other popular Atlanta interior boutiques.  There were so many beautiful things to see & so much inspiration throughout.  Here are a few of my favorite things. (**queuing Maria Von Trapp . . .)


I love everything about this--these pillows are perfect!

Peep the console/desk in the back!



These chairs are ri-dic-u-lous.  The nailhead, the black trim, and the burlap?  OMG, love at first sight, I can't even say enough about them.  The tables and lamp are to die for as well.



You know I'm a sucker for lamps and the perfect shade . . .


This couch is super comfortable and of course, beautiful.


Unique!
If you're ever in the Atlanta area, you must visit the Morningside/Virginia Highlands area and drop into Armour & Co.  While you're there, make sure you indulge in some Cookies & Cream yogurt from Yoforia and a body treatment from Natural Body, too!

I HAVE AN ETSY STORE!!!

Remember that big surprise that I promised was coming last week? Well I'm a bit late (due to technical difficulties) but it's finally here--the grand opening of my Etsy store, Vintage Styled Home! I am super excited!!!!


As you know, I'm constantly scouting Atlanta (and beyond) for pieces full of character and history, and since I find so much fabulous stuff and can't keep it all for myself, it only made sense that I open up a store and make my items available to the wider public. I've found so many beautiful things lately and have been dying to share them with you! Take a look at some things I'm featuring in the store . . .





I have many great pieces in the store and would love it if you'd stop by and take a look. If something strikes your fancy, feel free to grab it before it's gone! A New Boutique!


Meet Candi. Can you see her there in the back? I met her yesterday when I stopped in her Inman Park boutique appropriately called "Authentique". Isn't that the cutest name??

I was getting lunch with my sister at Pure Taqueria (if you love Mexican food, live in Atlanta, and haven't been there, you're missing out! DELICIOUS fish & shrimp tacos!!!!) and saw her shop across the street. She was so nice (and approachable!!!) and has some great stuff in her store, some sourced and some refinished. I like that it's small with a casual vibe and reasonable prices, especially compared to some of the more well-known spots in Atlanta. Candi even let me in on a few of her secrets--I love it when owners are down-to-earth and approachable!!! But enough about that, let me show you around . . .



Here's a closer look at some of the things I really loved.



LOVE these factory carts, and they're just like the ones at Restoration Hardware, but without the crazy price tag. Lakeitha @ Swoon Worthy Boutique was just talking about busts yesterday! Here's one I really like.




Hello, gorgeous!! These lamps reminded me a lot of the ones I refinished, but these are fly!





LOVE the bamboo lamps--LOVE. The shade, the style, the shape--everything. Pure perfection. I also love the stripped wood lamps, and I loved the black & white lampshades and small brass tables. (notice I keep saying "love" . . . are you picking up the fact that I really liked this store??) When I start sourcing for clients, which is ultimately one of the things I would like to do, you can bet I'll be pulling stuff from here. If you stop by, please let her know I sent you!

**Also, as a little teaser I'll let you know that I should have some very cool news next week, and I'm hoping that you all will be as excited as I am!!! Betcha' can't guess what it is . . . . :)
