Well, we moved in this apartment 13 months ago and EVERYTHING changed in this year! This is our first apartment together, our first experience as "interior stylists". At the beginning our budget was really ridicolous (!) and we tried to "build" a nice space to live. Month after month, our tastes started to change direction; this is a good example to explain what I mean.
At the beginnig the sofa was right in front of the wall, in the tv direction. That's funny, because we have the tv, but we don't have any connection!! We use it just to connect to our computers. That's why I started thinking to change the position of the sofa (I have to say "I" because my husband is not really into this kind of things..but he is very patient with me!). We have this huge window in our living, so why staring a white wall when you have a landscape that changes every day to see?!
Another example is about our fornitures: I love Ikea (also here "I"), but in our previous apartment was like living in one of the shop sets! Well then we decided to buy some vintage elements, the coffee table for example, or the '60 credenza, to create contrast between old and new.
Of course reading books, magazines and blog help to define your own style, which direction you want to follow. And in my case, also people that I've met inspired me: Ingrid and Yvonne for crochet work, Luz for the colors, Holly from Decor8 for the interior styling taste and for the "blog adventure", my grandma for sewing, my uncle for the creativity and my new work for Casa Facile (especially Giusi, the "mind" behind this magazine) that is giving me the opportunity to meet a lot of inspiring people.
So, look around, the creativity is around the corner!

Penso che sia sempre divertente, e in qualche modo anche interessante, vedere come cambia la nostra casa nel corso degli anni.
Bene, ci siamo trasferiti in questo appartamento 13 mesi fa e qui TUTTO è cambiato in questo anno! Questo è il nostro primo appartamento insieme, la nostra prima esperienza come "interior stylists". All'inizio il nostro budget era davvero ridicolo (!) ma abbiamo cercato di "costruire" comunque uno spazio piacevole da vivere. Mese dopo mese, anche i nostri gusti hanno cominciato a cambiare direzione; questo è un buon esempio per spiegare cosa voglio dire.
All'inizio il divano era stato posizionato proprio di fronte al muro, in direzione della tv. Veramente divertente, visto che abbiamo la tv, ma non abbiamo alcun collegamento! La usiamo solo per connetterla ai nostro computer! Ecco perché ho cominciato a pensare di cambiare la posizione del divano (devo dire "io", perché mio marito non è proprio portato per questo genere di cose..ma in compenso è molto paziente con me!). Abbiamo questa enorme finestra nel living, quindi perché guardare una parete bianca quando si ha un panorama che cambia ogni giorno da vedere?!
Un altro esempio riguarda i mobili: io adoro Ikea (anche qui "io"), ma nel nostro appartamento precedente era come vivere in uno dei set del negozio! Allora abbiamo deciso di acquistare un po' alla volta alcuni elementi vintage, il tavolino per esempio, o la credenza anni '60, per creare un contrasto tra vecchio e nuovo.
Naturalmente la lettura di libri, riviste e blog aiuta a definire il proprio stile, quale direzione si vuole seguire. E nel mio caso, anche le persone che ho incontrato mi hanno ispirato: Ingrid e Yvonne per il lavoro all'uncinetto, Luz per i colori, Holly da Decor8 per il gusto della decorazione e per "l'avventura blog", mia nonna per il cucito, mio zio per la creatività e il mio nuovo lavoro per Casa Facile (soprattutto Giusi, la "mente" dietro questa rivista) che mi sta dando l'opportunità di incontrare un sacco di gente davvero interessante.
Quindi guardatevi intorno, la creatività è dietro l'angolo!
