Since my house is 20+ years old and inefficient by today's standards, ceiling fans are a must in the rooms upstairs. I went out on a limb in my office and thought I'd make an exception (with a great shade that I made, no less) but I'm paying the price now.
It can get so hot in there, but I digress. In an appropriately temperate bedroom, I'd have something like this:
